I'ts been a few weeks since I posted a "Heart This', so some of these links are not "fresh", but there's some great stuff here! I'm in a crafty mood!

LOVE the simplicity and whimsy of the Nester's framed fork! How cute is that?

DITTO Tales from Bloggeritaville's darling Chalkboard Dinner Plate. I'm going to be looking for supplies for both of these projects at Goodwill!

There are enough GREAT sewing projects at Homespun Threads to keep me busy for some time.

I ADORE these canned flower arrangements from Design Sponge - they bring out the inner Boxcar Child in me!

MOM (and MOM-in-law), don't look! I think this is a cute Mother's Day idea from Cupcakes and Crinoline, and I just might have to make some. No peeking! Isn't that the cutest blog name?

Did you attend Town Hall for Hope last week? It was a very encouraging program. Dave Ramsey has some wonderful resources on his website, too. I just went to request his endorsed local providers for mortgage lenders (in case we decide to refinance), investment firms, and health insurance. Good stuff.

I love this SmartyPig idea. Have you tried it out? I'd love to talk to someone who has!

Heart This - Easter Edition

I've been saving up great links, special ideas, projects, etc. all week for today's "Heart This".
But then....

I read this post by Beth Moore. "He knows it's scary to be us." Jesus truly does, because He chose to be one of us.
And then, I read this post from oh amanda. "In a letter to the Philippians, Paul writes that Jesus humbled himself and became OBEDIENT to death on a cross. Jesus LET himself die. He wasn’t forced into it. Many men died on the cross, but Jesus CHOSE to die on the cross." Did you get that? He also chose to die...for us...on the cross.

Jesus Christ chose to live as one of us. He humbled himself. He chose to die for us. He became obedient unto death, even death on the cross. He chose the wounds, the scars. And By His Wounds We Are Healed:

I LOVE this idea for a cheap, fun table light. It uses an led candle light (the kind you buy at the dollar store), thread, and fabric stiffener. Can't wait to try this!
This recipe for Hot Chicken Salad looks delicious.
These Easter eggs are gorgeous, and share "The Reason for the Season"!
This looks like a really fun party idea - Iron Chef at home! hat tip to oh amanda.
This list of classic family movies made me smile. Many of them are available at your public library. I added some to my Netflix list. Remember The Swiss Family Robinson? I loved that movie!
Struggling with saving? I know we are. I found this website both entertaining and enlightening.
This interesting series has convicted me. How can I show sacrificial hospitality? I love this idea, and I need to get my head out of my trials so that I can see the hurt and need around me. hat tip to life as mom.

Remember me? I used to have this little bloggy and would post semi-regularly? Well, I'm finally back. Here's a bit of what I've been loving on the internet recently:

Brian would love it if I'd whip up some of these Homemade Chewy Granola Bars. They look pretty yummy!

Speaking of yummy...Baking Bites posted this sinful recipe for homemade Samoas. It's shameful, but I can't stop thinking about them.

This is a really cool source for bottles, jars, and other neat containers. Makes me want to redo my spice cabinet!

Check out this darling centerpiece project made with old tins from We Are THAT Family. LOVE it!

This will be our first Thanksgiving to host family at our house. I'm thinking this website will come in handy. It has calculators to tell you how much turkey to buy, how much stuffing to make and how long to thaw your bird. Cool!
